1. faulty video cable between motherboard and screen (press around the screen 'hinges' area (this is where the cable passes through from the body to the lid) and see if you can make it better or worse. 2. faulty video cable connection either on the motherboard or on the screen. 3. faulty backlight power supply feed.. Since i changed the keyboard on my asus zenbook i noticed a strange phenomena...when running on battery power the screen is flickering almost all the time. but this only happens when i am on battery power. the screen is also very dim. when i use the ac everything works fine, i get full screen. I had a screen flicker issue too, but wasnt like yours. but you can try to do what i did which worked for me. open the nvidia control panel, then adjust desktop size and position and hit full screen then go to change resolution -> customize -> create custom resolution -> type 67 in refresh rate.
My screen has started to go white and flicker occasionally. then it comes back to the normal windows screen. i have read on the web that other asus laptop models have the same issue and it happens. Hi all, i have an asus x555ld laptop which has fairly recently developed an interesting issue. when on battery power, the screen seems to rapidly flicker during any cpu / hdd / gpu activity (not sure which one yet).. Hey,,i have asus zenfone 2 , and i also found this screen flickering problem ..i also applied both the sollution of above mentioned. like disable h/w overlay and wipe out cache. but problem still persist ..please give me a sollution ,,i am a big fan of asus..
